Alright, so we jumped out to a great start yesterday with the NBA jumping out to a PERFECT 3-0 ATS sweep there in the PRO HOOPS and that makes us a PERFECT 5-0 ATS in the NBA over the L2 days!! The NHL came through with a nice SO win for the Flyers on their home ice as well!! Morehead State gave us our first loss on the night, as they did the opposite of what we expected, hitting for a measly 1-for-16 (6%) from beyond the arc while Nevada hit for an equally uncharacteristic 60% from downtown themselves. That in itself killed us, but the 50% to 37% shooting disparity from FG range didn't help matters any either. So that ruined the chances for a PERFECT night overall, but we still had Oakland on the board to finish off a nice night. Unfortunately, it just wasn't to be, as the Golden Grizzlies were down 7 at the half and quickly went down 14 in the 2nd. They looked like they might have some life left in them, going on a 14-0 run to tie the game at 44, but then they just could never get over the hump and take the lead, losing 68-67. Therefore the NCAA BB finished in disappointing 0-2 ATS fashion and we were stuck with a 4-2 night in the end.......
TODAY'S ACTION --
(NBA)
CHICAGO BULLS (+6.5)
Something has to give here with the Rockets. They are dangerously close to playing themselves out of the postseason, but can still save themselves with some winning play over the L2 weeks of the season as they currently hold the 8th seed in the West, a half-game lead over the bubble-busted Mavericks, and a half-game behind the Utah Jazz at the number 7 seed. The Bulls are equally in trouble of losing out on the Eastern side of the playoff brackets as they face a much tougher uphill climb, currently standing in 9th place overall and two games behind the final seeded Pacers. Chicago tried to help their own cause last time out, holding off the Pacers for a hard fought, 98-96 victory in Indiana, marking the second straight game they have played in that has been decided by an even 2 points. That win snapped a disappointing 4-game skid on the money-line for Chicago and they have now posted a disappointing 2-4 ATS record over their L6 overall. The Bulls have been downright pathetic on the road recently, skidding to an 2-11 ML record in their L13 away from home, while posting an equally dismal 4-9 ATS record in those games. Going even further back doesn't help their case, as they are now 3-13 ML and 5-11 ATS in their L16 games playing in someone else's building. Still this spread just seems a bit too high. Go with the CHICAGO BULLS here.......
ORLANDO MAGIC (+7.5)
The Magic have struggled against the Pacers this season, dropping each of the first 3 meetings, but they did make a game out of the last meeting, eventually losing by a mere 3 points. They are playing better coming into this one as well, as they come off a 2-game home sweep in which they blasted Chicago and Brooklyn with ease, topping well over the averaging about 115 PPG in the home-stand. The Pacers are coming in off a tough, 2-point loss against Chicago their last time out, which once again marked another incredibly close game that Indiana has been involved in lately. When they have picked up the win outright in recent weeks, they have only managed to do so by more than 8 points only once since February 3 and only 2 times since January 30. Not only have they only posted a 14-13 ML record in that span overall, but they are winning by an average margin of score of just over 5 PPG. The only scary thing here is the fact that Indiana actually owns the recent series meetings between these two teams, holding a 7-0 ML and ATS record vs Orlando in their L7 games played, with an 8-1 ML and ATS record in their L9 meetings. That includes a perfect 5-0 ML and 4-1 ATS record in the L5 matchups played in Indiana, with the Pacers winning each of those 5 games by 10 points or more. Still, just think this one will have a different outcome here. Roll with the ORLANDO MAGIC in tonight's meeting.......
PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (-3.5)
The Celtics have been absolute bums when getting the points lately, as they have dropped 6 straight ML and ATS when playing as the underdog. Tough to go against the home team Blazers who are starting to hit a stride and are sitting in the 6th seed overall for the Western Conference. Go with the PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS at home tonight........

GEORGE WASHINGTON COLONIALS (+2)
This should be a pretty good final showdown for the 2015-16 NIT Championship game at Madison Square Garden tonight. George Washington has certainly earned their berth in tonight's game as they have had a deadly stretch of games just to even get there, and have handled all 3 with relative ease in the process, with easy wins over at then NCAA BB Tournament Bubble team Monmouth (87-71), then against Florida (82-77) and finally at San Diego State (65-46). However, this Valparaiso team was just built to win and should come to play here tonight as they come in having won 4 straight games themselves, and have posted a 9-1 ML record over their L10 games overall. They have been even better on the ML for their backers all season long, having compiled a 14-2 ML mark over their L16 games and a 20-3 ML tally in their L23 contests to end the season. George Washington struggled when getting the points for the most part this season, despite winning twice as the small underdog during their current NIT run, as they are now 3-6 ATS in their previous 9 games this season in the underdog role. They were 4-6 ATS overall on the season when getting the points. But this Colonials team definitely squared off against the better competition this season if you ask us, as they had several quality wins in 2015-16, against the likes of Virginia (73-68), Tennessee (73-70), Seton Hall (72-64), Davidson (79-69), VCU (72-69), Richmond (73-61) and then the run through the NIT. Valparaiso has a quality resume obviously, but in comparison, the wins just seem to be against lesser teams. Valpo has beaten Oregon State (63-57), Belmont (61-57), @Oakland (84-67), Oakland (86-84), Green Bay (85-70), @Green Bay (70-68) and their current run through the NIT with wins over Florida State (81-69), St. Mary's (60-44) and BYU (72-70) in a game they controlled easily throughout. As good as we think this Crusaders team is, just think this Colonials team was more built for this game here tonight. Expect a great game at Madison Square Garden as this one very easily could come down to the buzzer. Still take the GEORGE WASHINGTON COLONIALS for the cover in the NIT Championship.....
(NHL)
OVER 5 CALGARY FLAMES @ LOS ANGELES KINGS (-140)
There is going to be no way to keep the goals off the board here tonight as this Calgary team started their first half of this back-to-back trip to Southern California with a terribly lackluster 8-3 loss in Anaheim last night. The Kings should have their way in much the same fashion tonight. Can't help but expect the Flames add at least 2 goals to the scoreboard themselves to try to salvage their performance against the Ducks. Wouldn't be surprised if they put 3 or more in net tonight actually. Go with the OVER here.....
OVER 5 MONTREAL CANADIANS @ TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING (-140)
This one should have goals a plenty as well and we expect to easily cash in on the Over 5 here tonight. Take the OVER.......
There you have it!! That is our action for this THIRSTY THURSDAY in the NBA, NCAA BB and NHL action!!
Best of luck to all tonight!! Let's get that money!!
