BOOM!!
ANOTHER GREAT +6 UNITS OF PROFITS once again on SATURDAY for the 2nd day in a row and it could have and probably should have been even better in the end. We were snaked on the Oklahoma City play by a measly half a point and I even literally erased a note I had in the write-up that stated if we lost that play, it was going to be by 6. Then the Islanders choked several leads as a HUGE underdog on their home ice, before finally bowing out of the playoffs with a OT loss. Even Baltimore looked good early, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead on the Twins, but they turned in our only loss of the night in the MLB!! Anyway, we promised a big weekend and we have delivered once again!! Let's keep rolling, rolling, rolling today........
**Btw, a special HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the MOTHER'S out there with us, and to all the rest of us MOTHER-LOVERS as well. May today be a great day of appreciation, love and of course, dollar, dollar bills, ya'll. Seriously though, Happy Mother's Day to all out there. I know there are a few ladies in the mix here and we are glad to have you representing it like you are out there!! Here's to a great day to all!! Cheers!!**
TODAY'S ACTION --
(NBA)
*2 UNITS* SAN ANTONIO SPURS (-1) AND
*1 UNIT* OVER 199 SAN ANTONIO SPURS @ GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Just can't get away from the Spurs here, especially with the status of Curry still up in the air for this game. That would be a devastating blow to this upstart Warriors team and could just officially give this Spurs team the decided advantage they need to take full control of this series. If Curry is out, is there any way this Warriors team can hang with the Spurs? Most likely Curry will play though, so it will all be a moot point in the end, but he still has undergone treatments on his ankles, so will be at least a little hobbled for this game. Parker has already declared that he will be ready by tipoff and that should bode very, very well for this Spurs team who will end up laughing off the "scare" they took in San Antonio. It may have just ultimately woken up the sleeping giant in reality. The Spurs kind of made it look easy in every facet of Game 3, sinking over 50% of their FG attempts, with Duncan finishing with 23 and 10 and Parker doing him even better with 32, 5 and 5. Manu chipped in 12, a testament to the fact that they really didn't even need their 3rd superstar in order to win that game. One of the biggest problems for Golden State, besides shooting a woeful 37% from their field on their home court, is the fact that they weren't (and most likely aren't really) even able to out-anything over the Spurs in that game. Both teams finished with an even 52 rebounds, Golden State had a 9-7 edge on the fast-break, while the Spurs had a 36-34 advantage in the paint. The Warriors bench did contribute nicely, outscoring the Spurs reserves, 36-24, but other than that, the two teams were pretty even. Which as I stated, poses the biggest problem for the Warriors in this game and the series. They most likely will have to thoroughly outshine the Spurs in all categories to pull off yet another perfect upset. I will say there most likely is no better time than for it today, with the aging Spurs playing on only 1 1/2 days rest, but really see this as a good spot for the Spurs to really open things up in this series. Take the SAN ANTONIO SPURS and the OVER in today's lone match-up.......
(MLB)
*2 UNITS* OVER 9 MILWAUKEE BREWERS @ CINCINNATI REDS (+105)
Runs, runs and more runs. That is exactly how we see this game ending up today, especially after these two teams couldn't stop runners from crossing the plate in yesterday's game. 20 runners in all crossed home plate between the two squads, with the Reds getting the upper hand in a 13-7 win. This division match-up features two pitchers with ERA's that near a combined total of a whopping 10.00 this season. Peralta does have one start against the Reds in his career and was impressive over the 5.2 innings he faced them, allowing only 2 H and 0 R and receiving a no-decision in the 2-1 loss against the Reds in Ohio last season. Arroyo on the other hand carries a lifetime 13-10 record with a modest 3.90 ERA through 26 starts against the Brew crew. He was hammered by the Brewers in his 5 outings against them in 2012, allowing a 4.26 ERA in 31.2 IP. He has been wretched in May in recent seasons, as evidenced by his lone start in the month so far this season, as since the 2011 season, he is now a very lame 1-7 in his L13 starts during the month, holding a balky 5.96 ERA in 74 innings of work in the month during that span. He isn't any better keeping guys off base, as he holds an equally staggering 1.65 WHIP in those games. Even worse for Cincinnati, they are 4-9 ML in those games. He hasn't been any better in Cincinnati during the month either, as he has allowed 25 ER in his L42.2 IP during the month of May at home resulting in a lofty 5.27 ERA and 1.52 WHIP. A few of the Brewers have been known to slap Arroyo around from time to time as well, as guys such as Braun, Aoki, Weeks and Ramirez have hit for a low average against him, but have provided 9 2B, 10 HR and 20 RBI, although that is over 183 AB between them. Milwaukee's pitching staff has also faced a stiff challenge keeping the team in games, as the Brewers have played to the Over in 4 of their L6 games, and at an 8-3 clip in their L11 and 12-5 casher rate for the Over in their L17 overall. Cincinnati has hit a same kind of streak themselves, as they have played to the Over in 7 of their L8 games overall. This will be the first total set at 9 for them this season, but they are a perfect 5-0 for the Over in their L5 with the total set at 8 or higher and 6-1 in their L7 in that situation. Milwaukee has seen both of their games set with a total of 9 this season, easily fly over the total as well. Roll with the OVER in this inter-division battle.......
*2 UNITS* LOS ANGELES DODGERS (-160)
Dodgers broke a losing streak of 8 games with last night's blowout of the Marlins. Expect another easy win here today. Take the LOS ANGELS DODGERS to WIN at home........
*2 UNITS* OVER 9 PHI PHILLIES @ AZ DIAMONDBACKS (-105)
The bats on these two teams have been extremely quiet through the first three games of this series and something just has to give here. The two teams have combined for 6 runs a piece through the first 3 meetings and something tells me this one could be reaching that total after only a few innings in the desert today. Go with the OVER in this one......
*2 UNITS* OVER 9 TEXAS RANGERS @ HOUSTON ASTROS (-115)
Again, runs should be a plenty in this one. Take the OVER.....
*2 UNITS* TAMPA BAY RAYS (-135)
Rays were down early, then were up big early and then needed a 2 R bomb in the bottom of the 9th inning to escape with the win at home against the lowly, yet surging Padres. Should have enough to get the series win at home today. Run with the RAYS in this one.......
(NHL)
*2 UNITS* NEW YORK RANGERS (-135) AND
*1 UNIT* OVER 5 WASHINGTON CAPITALS @ NEW YORK RANGERS (EVEN)
