Alright, so once again, we took a couple rough beats to put us on the downer end last night. Just can't seem to put together a MONSTER day around here lately. But I can feel it, this is going to be a great end to the month!! And it starts with a MONSTER WEEKEND here starting tonight. Here we go.......
TODAY'S ACTION --
(NBA)
*2 UNITS* MIAMI HEAT (-8) AND
*2 UNITS* 1ST HALF: MIAMI HEAT (-4) (-115)
Just can't get away from the Heat here today, despite the shift going back to Chicago. We are 0'fer in this series so far as we went with the Heat by the double-digit spread in Game 1 and then came back with the Bulls in Game 2. Yeah, nice on our part. But tonight we should be able to swing the momentum back our way, as the Heat should come out once again and roll all over this depleted and hurting Bulls roster. Chicago is going to be completely amped and the fans will try to keep their team in the game, but between Robinson, Butler and Noah, which one of those stars is going to be able to withstand this Heat lineup. As our last write-up for Game 2 stated, the Bulls have been extremely impressive against the Heat while the Big Three has been in town. The Bulls had kept 9 of their previous L10 games with the Heat within last game's suggested spread of -12. They were rolled in that game, so now they are 9-2 ATS in the L11 meetings with the Heat. But after the Heat came out playing the way they did last game, we expect this series to be wrapped up a lot sooner, rather than later. Go with the MIAMI HEAT in the 1ST HALF and in the GAME here tonight........
*2 UNITS* SAN ANTONIO SPURS MONEY LINE (+120) AND
*2 UNITS* OVER 204 SAN ANTONIO SPURS @ GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
The Warriors were nothing short of amazing when playing in San Antonio to start this series, and although everybody is probably expecting the Warriors to take complete control of their series now they are on their home court, but something tells me, not so fast. Yes, the Warriors have proven that they can hang with the big boy Spurs, but we suspect last game was something of an enigma as the younger Warriors showed no ill effects of their multiple OT loss in Game 1. The Spurs and their aging bones did indeed show quite a bit of fatigue as they came closed out, with the two teams failing to score what seemed like any points over the final 5 minutes. In essence, both teams were completely gassed for Game 2 and the younger Warriors were the ones with the fresher legs. Tonight that should change and the better team should indeed show up and once again take control of this series. And the Spurs are that better team, regardless of their age. It wouldn't be all that shocking if the Warriors did somehow eek out another victory here tonight, but just don't see it happening when all is said and done. Roll with the SAN ANTONIO SPURS on the MONEY LINE and take the OVER in tonight's meeting........
(MLB)
*2 UNITS* LOS ANGELES ANGELS (+115)
Yes the Angels just looked absolutely brutal in a series against the lowly Astros and yes, everyone has officially hit panic mode in Los Angeles with the super inflated payroll the Angels are carrying around, but there are a few reasons to like the Halos here today and love the price that is coming with them. For starters, Hamilton is starting to hit and that could be a very, very good thing for this lineup obviously. Hamilton has 2 HR in the L2 games and comes into this game with 8 career HR and a .340+ BA in 24 career games in Chicago. He also happens to be 2-for-3 in his career against Axelrod, with a HR as one of those 2 hits. The Angels could use that production and if they can get a few runs across the board from the combination of Pujols, Trumbo and Hamilton, they should have enough to get the win here today. The White Sox have not been backing Axelrod with any runs lately, scoring only 11 total runs in his L6 starts overall. Which is a shame too, because he has pitched well at home, going 0-0 with a lowly 2.04 ERA in his 2 starts on the North Side this year. He has never faced the Angels and in fact, that meeting with Hamilton is his entire amount of experience with the rest of this Angels roster. Not a single other batter has ever stepped into the box against him. However, the Angels are 11-5 ML against the White Sox over the L2 seasons and don't expect that to change here tonight. The Angels were able to escape Houston with a win to close out the series and avoid the sweep. Expect the big lineup tonight and look for the Angels to make it two in a row. Go with the LOS ANGELES ANGELS as the underdog in Chicago.......
*2 UNITS* ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (-160) AND
*2 UNITS* UNDER 9.5 PHI PHILLIES @ AZ DIAMONDBACKS (-115)
Despite his struggles to kick off the 2013 season, Kennedy has had some success against the Phillies in the past, posting a 2-1 record in 4 career starts and 26 innings against the franchise, while holding an impressive 2.42 ERA in that span. Even more impressive perhaps is the fact he has compiled a eye-popping 0.92 WHIP and .207 BAA against this Phillies squad that has been raking in the trophies in recent seasons. He hasn't been all that impressive this season, but he has been markedly better when facing off against teams not within his division the NL West. Kennedy is 2-0 in those 2 games against STL and MIL with a slightly lower ERA than his overall one this season, registering in the very low 4's. The Diamondbacks will be getting their first look at Cloyd ever, but the youngster was 2-2 in his 6 starts after being called up last season. No real edge on stats here, but still the Diamondbacks are rolling and are looking to increase their longest winning streak of the season tonight. Take the ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS and the UNDER here..........
MINNESOTA TWINS (+105)
UNDER 8 SAN DIEGO PADRES @ TAMPA BAY RAYS (-115)

WASHINGTON CAPITALS (-120)
DETROIT RED WINGS (-130)
OVER 5 ANA DUCKS @ DET RED WINGS (+110)
There you have it!! That is our FRIDAY night of action in the NBA, MLB and NHL!!
Best of luck to all tonight!! Let's get that money!!
