TODAY'S ACTION --
(MLB)
OAKLAND A'S (-155) AND
UNDER 8 TEX RANGERS @ OAK A'S (-120)
Can't get away from this one here today as the A's gave the Rangers a little sucker-punch of their own yesterday, erasing a 5-4 deficit in the bottom of the 9th with a grand slam for the walk-off. That was the 4th A's HR in the game (3 by Davis) and this offense is currently clicking on the long ball. They do have a tough match-up with Perez today and the Rangers hurler has risen to the challenge this season by allowing 2 ER or less in 6-of-his-8 start this season. He has been money over his L4 outings as well, compiling a 1.93 ERA in those starts. Perez has been the opposite against the A's however, as he faced Oakland twice last season, allowing 13 R in 8 2/3 innings of work against them. The Rangers haven't shown the kid much love in support, as they have been providing the youngster with a mere 2.28 RPG in 2016. If they do that here today, they might not have a shot against the A's emerging young phenom, Hill. He has dominated opponents himself lately, with a 4-1 mark and 2.05 ERA in his L5 GS. Expect the A's to be ready to go again today. Roll with the OAKLAND A'S and the UNDER in today's afternoon showcase......
OVER 8 BOSTON RED SOX @ KANSAS CITY ROYALS (+105)
This total keeps dropping and not really sure why. Ramirez is out of the lineup for the Sox, but this one should still go over the total regardless. Wright comes into this one off his first non-quality start in his career, as after being staked to a 5-1 lead his last time out, the Astros quickly chased him from the game and he ended with only 4 2/3 IP with 5 R and 9 H allowed in a game the Astros would win, 7-6. Kennedy did pretty much the same his last time out against the Yankees, serving up 7 R in 6 1/3 innings. The Red Sox have now won 7-of-9 overall, as they have scored 5 R or more in 7 of those games (4 last night). They have also homered in 17 straight games, which is 2 shy off the franchise record. They were averaging 7.7 RPG in their L8 games before heading into last night, so expect these two offenses, with these two pitchers on the mound, to get this one over the total. Go with the OVER in today's meeting.....
Best of luck to all this morning!! Let's get that money!!
