TODAY'S ACTION --
CLEVELAND INDIANS RUN LINE +1.5 (-150) AND
UNDER 6.5 CLEVELAND INDIANS @ HOUSTON ASTROS (+100)
This one has pitchers duel written all over it, as these two squads put their ace hurlers on the mound to lead off their respective postseason play today. Kluber vs. Verlander should be what postseason play is all about. The Indians could be the team to beat this postseason as their addition of Josh Donaldson might be the key cog in the lineup this team needs. Both of these pitchers finished the season strong with Kluber going 4-0 over his final 6 starts, while posting a respectable ERA at 2.80 in that span. Verlander was even better with a 3-0 mark and lowly 1.00 ERA through his last 3 outings to close the season. However, in his long illustrious career, Cleveland is the only team with which Verlander has a losing record against and a few guys in the lineup today, like Jose Ramirez (11/27 3 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 5 BB) have hit him well in their careers. Kluber was 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA against Houston this season. The Under has cashed at a 7-0-1 clip through the L8 games for Houston, while also hitting for a 7-0 mark when facing a RH SP. Verlander has also kept a 5-1 Under mark in his L6 starts for the first game of a playoff series. Go with the CLEVELAND INDIANS on the RUN LINE and take the UNDER in this early morning meeting.....
MILWAUKEE BREWERS (-160) AND
UNDER 8 COLORADO ROCKIES @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS (-105)
These two teams needed extra innings yesterday before the Brewers pulled off the 3-2, walk-off win thanks to NL MVP front runner, Christian Yelich. We expect much the same here again today as the Brewers continue to roll, as stated in yesterday's write-up, and they are now 24-7 ML in their L31 contests overall. Tyler Anderson is on the hill for the Rockies, which could bode well for Milwaukee, as they have owned the youngster in his career. The Brewers rocked him for 7 runs and 7 hits in 4 innings of work in their lone meeting this season, while also keeping him to a 1-2 lifetime mark against the franchise with an inflated 8.59 ERA in his 3 career starts against them. Chacin is 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA in 4 career starts against the Rockies. Colorado is now 2-9 ML in their L11 postseason games and are also 2-8 ML in their L10 meetings with the Brewers. The Under is now 5-1 in the L6 home NLDS playoff games for the Brewers, and the Under is also 5-1-1 in their L7 road games against a RH SP. Stick with the MILWAUKEE BREWERS and the UNDER in this showdown.....
There you have it!! That will kick off this FRIDAY of TOP PLAY action in the MLB PLAYOFFS!!
